Always eager for another occasion to feast, the savages eagerly embraced the two missionary women's teachings on Christmas.  It's true that in their zeal the savages may have missed some of the finer points of the holiday dedicated to "Peace on earth.  Good will to men," but for a first attempt, their efforts were laudable.
